How often do we feel the need to be rescued? There are so many challenges in the world we live in today. Wars, unrest, families torn apart by so many things and we must make our way through all the parts of our lives.
Lately, I have been crying out to the Lord for his help in keeping my heart focused on Him. It is too easy to be distracted by the events surrounding us. He answers my prayers with a peace that helps me stay stable and firm on His Word. I keep reading and meditating on the Bible, seeking answers to my heart’s questions. What a wonderful Savior he is. Time after time, my heart reaches out to Him, and time after time, He answers. He brings peace, joy in the small things, fellowship with other Christians, hope for tomorrow, and reassurance for my eternal future with Him in Heaven.
Today, if you are needing to be rescued, allow Jesus to be the One who meets that need. He will always answer the cry of His children.
Jeremiah 33:3 New King James Version
3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Psalm 18:3 New King James Version
3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
Psalm 86:7 New King James Version
7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me. May your heart be blessed as you reach out to the One who created you in your mother’s womb.
Godlessness in the Last Days 2Ti 3:1 But you need to be aware that in the final days the culture of society will become extremely fierce and difficult for the people of God. 2Ti 3:2 People will be self-centered lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly. 2Ti 3:3 They will become addicted to hateful and malicious slander. Slaves to their desires, they will be ferocious, belligerent haters of what is good and right. 2Ti 3:4 With brutal treachery, they will act without restraint, bigoted and wrapped in clouds of their conceit. They will find their delight in the pleasures of this world more than the pleasures of the loving God. 2Ti 3:5 They may pretend to have a respect for God, but in reality, they want nothing to do with God’s power. Stay away from people like these! 2Ti 3:6 For they are the ones who worm their way into the hearts of vulnerable women, spending the night with those who are captured by their lusts and steeped in sin. 2Ti 3:7 They are always learning but never discover the revelation-knowledge of truth. 2Ti 3:8 History has given us an example of this with the Egyptian sorcerers Jannes and Jambres, who stood against Moses in their arrogance. So it will be in the last days with those who reject the faith with their corrupt minds and arrogant hearts, standing against the truth of God. 2Ti 3:9 But they will not advance, for everyone will see their madness, just as they did with Jannes and Jambres! All Scripture Is Breathed Out by God 2Ti 3:10 But you, Timothy, have closely followed my example and the truth that I’ve imparted to you. You have modeled your life after the love and endurance I’ve demonstrated in my ministry by not giving up. The faith I have, you now have. What I have hungered for in life has now become your longing as well. The patience I have with others, you now demonstrate. 2Ti 3:11 And the same persecutions and difficulties I have endured, you have also endured. Yes, you know all about what I had to suffer while in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. You’re aware of all the persecution I endured there; yet the Lord delivered me from every single one of them! 2Ti 3:12 For all who choose to live passionately and faithfully as worshipers of Jesus, the Anointed One, will also experience persecution. 2Ti 3:13 But the evil men and sorcerers will progress from bad to worse, deceived and deceiving, as they lead people further from the truth. 2Ti 3:14 Yet you must continue to advance in strength with the truth wrapped around your heart, being assured by God that he’s the One who has truly taught you all these things. 2Ti 3:15 Remember what you were taught from your childhood from the Holy Scrolls which can impart to you wisdom to experience everlasting life through the faith of Jesus, the Anointed One! 2Ti 3:16 Every Scripture has been written by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness. 2Ti 3:17 Then you will be God’s servant, fully mature, and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives you.
I shared this Scripture as a warning and a self-check for us all. We need to be aware of what is going on in our world. We also need to search our own hearts for any areas we are working evil in us. Pray for God’s wisdom, revelation, and understanding. Ask Him to reveal these answers to you personally:
How should I respond to these things?
What is my responsibility in this season of life?
What should I pray for myself, my family, my church, the Body of Christ and the world?
Father God, we ask you to reveal to us the next steps for our lives in response to the world around us. Help us to know how to navigate the tests and trials ahead. Show us the path of righteousness in the midst of darkness. We thank you that you are the Light of the World, and we can trust you to lead us in the Way, Truth, and Light throughout the coming days. Praise Your Name forever!!
God Hears the Prayers of the Righteous, so Rest in Him!
I am not a politician! Neither I nor my companion are politicians and do not aspire to serve in any political office. We are Christians who do our best to follow the teachings of Jesus in the Bible about loving God, loving people, and serving both.
We do have biblically sound convictions about how this nation is governed! I want to encourage you right now to keep the faith and let go of your doubts. We asked for the will of God to be done. He hears the prayers of the righteous, so rest in Him!
Remember, God knows the end from the beginning. And I am convicted that He works all things together for our good.
There are many Bible verses concerning the nations of the world. God created mankind, and he cares very much about all of them. Those that have accepted Jesus Christ of Nazareth as Savior, have entered into a covenant with God, through the payment of the Cross of Jesus. We who are believers are scattered all over the world. We come from every nation and tribe. It is important that we pray for our brothers and sisters all over the world. We are all one Body in Christ, and we need each other’s prayers and unity of spirit.
We also need to pray for those who have not heard of Jesus The Christ so they too may have an opportunity to be a part of God’s family in Christ Jesus. The promised end-time revival is at hand, we must not forget those in other lands that have not heard, or have been misled by half-truths about who Jesus really is.
Let us look at the Bible for some clarification.
Psalms 67 God be merciful unto us, and bless us, and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
Psalms 72:11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
Psalms 72:17 His name shall endure forever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
Psalms 117:1-2 O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth forever. Praise ye the LORD.
Isaiah 2:1-4 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Micah 4:2-3 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob, and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Zechariah 2:10-13 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee. And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again. Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
Matthew 24:4-14 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Romans 16:25-27 Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: To God, only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen
We need to pray for the brothers and sisters around the world, that they may be able to endure persecution, keep the faith, be restored in body and spirit, and for peace to be their foundation during these trying times. We need to pray for lost souls to hear the Gospel of Christ Jesus and receive Him as Lord. It is a privilege to be called to intercede for each other. We can count it a blessing from God to be a part of His family care team.
Pray for All People 1 Timothy 2:1-8 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

We can no longer sit on the sidelines of life and expect others to pray for us. It is time for us to create our own wailing wall of prayer and take a stand for our nations, our family, and ourselves before God.
“28 “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me,I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis.”
All of us have times of weariness. Life’s struggles are real. No one is exempt from troubles and trials. The difference between us is how we react to life’s issues. Will we allow our souls to get so wearied that we crumble under the strain? We can choose which way we react, good or bad.
I have had many times of great stress and fear. Weariness and overwhelming reactions tried to take over my life. It was when I cried out to the Father in Jesus’ Name that I was rescued and able to go through the struggles with success! He is for us. He is listening for our cry out to Him. Whenever we turn to the One who is able, He will lift us up, open doors of understanding and help us become victorious in life.
Over and over the Bible tells us to call upon Him, to cry out to Him, to “fear not” because He is with us. Our part is to believe that and obey it! Why we think we have to shoulder all our burdens is a mystery of life. We have a Savior who died for us and is always interceding for us before the Father. Let us go to Him in all our times of need.
Be blessed this week in His care. He loves you and wants the best for you always. Let Him take your cares, worries and woes and replace them with hope, faith and love.
Jeremiah 33:3New King James Version
3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and [a]mighty things, which you do not know.’
Psalm 12:5New King James Version
5 “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
Psalm 72:4New King James Version
4 He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.
Matthew 6:6-13
6 But when you pray, you should go into your room and close the door. Then pray to your Father. He is there in that private place. He can see what is done in private, and he will reward you.
7 “And when you pray, don’t be like the people who don’t know God. They say the same things again and again. They think that if they say it enough, their god will hear them.8 Don’t be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.9 So this is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven, we pray that your name will always be kept holy. 10 We pray that your kingdom will come— that what you want will be done here on earth, the same as in heaven. 11 Give us the food we need for today. 12 Forgive our sins, just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us. 13 Don’t let us be tempted, but save us from the Evil One.’
When you are alert and watching in the Spirit of God, you will see things others may miss. Some things you are responsible to pray for and wait to cry out the warning. Others you are responsible to speak to those you have influence with. It is a serious time in the world today. There are many enemies seeking to destroy many. As God’s watchmen we can shout the warning to prevent the destruction of others.
We are also required to shout the Coming of the Lord. We are the Heralds placed in the Lord’s House to proclaim the Word of God to all those who will listen. We need to share our own testimonies, pray for others and give them the same hope we received to bring us through.
We encourage you today to reach out to hurting people with the Hope of the Gospel of Jesus. Bless you today as you follow Jesus.
Thesis #19: “The New Apostolic Epoch” By: P. Douglas Small
Last week: “Love affirms, but God’s holiness challenges us. Prayer centers us in God’s love, but, then His Presence exposes us to His holiness – and moves us by grace and consecration, into deeper levels of His likeness”…
This week:
…Prayer, then, is the basic context for Christian growth and development, not preaching, not left-brain discipleship programs.
The assumption here is that there is more growth in discipleship through prayer than any other personal effort. I agree with the assumption! I have personally grown more in my faith and my relationship with God from taking my Bible, opening it and reading it, and praying my way through what I read, to understanding and practice. What happens in a church worship service is of little consequence if it does nothing to command the way we live our lives outside of that worship experience. Prayer is more about personal change than any other practice in the Christian faith. When you pray, it is just you and God. One on one! There should be no distractions, no hindrances to hearing Him as you commune with Him and He with you in your session of prayer. With the Word of God before you, the Holy Spirit within you as your guide, through your prayers, and your own personal hunger for righteousness, for holiness…you will grow in your relationship with God!
Let’s pray: “O God, You are my God! I want to be your disciple, so I read Your Word and pray for understanding to apply what I read. I ask, Holy Spirit, that You would put a deep, abiding hunger in our hearts now, for more of the Scripture and for more of close encounters with the Father!
Lord, we have found this world to be a confusing, messed up place and we don’t want to be it’s next victim! So, with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, we turn to You, asking that you be our daily guide through the Bible so that each day we live is used to honor and glorify You before others. We will do our best to honor the appointment with You in prayer, each day, keeping it above all others.
We love You Lord, and desire Your Presence within, to heal us and prepare us for Your use in this world and for our future with You in heaven! AMEN!
The following is a personal prayer to assist in moving Christ to the center of our lives. Prayer is not a magic wand to wave and experience the intervention of a divine benefactor in the troubles of our own making. Prayer is a real opportunity to get to know God, experience His faithfulness and become better acquainted with His ways.
God is not our bail bondsman to call when we find ourselves imprisioned because we made some bad choices. Does He care? Of course He cares! The Bible says that God is love. (See 1 John 4:12-16) He gave us His Son to prove His love, but most of all, He gave us His Son, Jesus Christ, to free us from our sin that so often leads us into captivity, bondage. Pray this prayer and make Jesus the Lord of your life and the very center of your being!
Prayer: “Lord, help me to love You with all of my heart, all of my soul, all of my mind and with all of my strength. Teach me what it means to be about Your business! Not my own! In whatever happens today, I surrender my life, my time to you. All I ask is that you come and lead me on in my worship and service to Your Kingdom. When day is done and I move on from it, I pray that my strongest memory will be of you, the nearness of your love, the power of your Presence!
Jesus, You are the One who died and gave me a reason to live and a way to live. You are the One who broke the chains of death and the power of the grave when You came forth victorious over death, hell and the grave! I praise you for the powerful hope resident in me because of Your resurrection. You are not dead anymore, so help me to be “alive” with great passion, proclaiming Your great love to the people I meet on my journey of life.
As I move through the day, help me to keep this thought present in my mind: “the day is not about me, it is about You!” Let my choices bear this out! This is my opportunity to stand up for you, to open my mouth and speak to others about Your great love as well as Your grace, mercy and kindness.
I know that You know my needs before I ask! But, I ask because I am Your child! You have given me hope through faith, and dreams as a promise of my future. I believe You! And I know that Your hand is with me, for me, and upon me for your glory and for my good.
May Your will be done in my life today! I offer my prayer to you Holy Father in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and my Lord and Savior. Amen!!!
